Job Description

Who you are

You have 6+ years of experience in marketing, particularly within the music industry, which has equipped you with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this space. Your background includes experience in product marketing aimed at business-to-business (B2B) audiences, allowing you to effectively communicate value propositions to various stakeholders.

Your ability to manage cross-functional projects is complemented by your analytical skills, particularly in data analysis and visualization. You are comfortable taking initiative and thrive in environments where you can work with minimal guidance. Your critical thinking skills enable you to apply real-world insights to your work, particularly in understanding trends within the global Music Industry.

Desirable

Experience in a consulting or business analyst role related to music would be a plus, as would any coding experience that enhances your analytical capabilities. You are adept at building collaborative relationships across teams, particularly with executive leadership, to shape marketing strategies that resonate with artists and industry partners.

What you'll do

As the Artist Marketing Manager, you will lead the development of product marketing strategies that inspire artists to adopt YouTube's tools. Your role involves generating insights and segmenting audiences to craft compelling value propositions for artist product launches and campaigns. You will be responsible for uncovering and understanding the trends and issues facing the global Music Industry, working cross-functionally to develop product solutions that differentiate YouTube's offerings.

You will collaborate closely with the Music team, which includes Product, Engineers, UX, and Partnerships, to position priority products effectively. Your influence will extend to executive leadership as you help shape the value narrative for YouTube's priority products. You will also manage collaborations with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness in marketing efforts.

Tracking, distilling, and optimizing the performance of product launches will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will leverage data analysis and experimentation to optimize campaigns for the greatest impact, ensuring that YouTube remains a leader in engaging artists and their fans.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a dynamic team that values creativity and innovation. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. You will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that shape the future of the music industry on YouTube, with a focus on collaboration and growth.

We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with a culture that promotes work-life balance and professional development. Join us in transforming how artists connect with their audiences and leverage technology to enhance their careers.
