Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 2 years of experience in data analysis, where you've identified trends and generated summary statistics. Your project management skills are well-honed, allowing you to define project scope, goals, and deliverables effectively. You are familiar with programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or C++, and have experience with machine learning systems. Your communication skills are excellent, both written and verbal, enabling you to articulate complex ideas clearly. You possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
A Master's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, along with familiarity in managing projects that require cross-functional collaboration. Experience in the Trust & Safety domain is a plus, as is a passion for promoting user safety and integrity in digital products.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Analyst in the Trust and Safety Search team, you will analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that may indicate abuse or quality issues within Google Search. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and legal teams to develop and implement robust solutions that enhance search quality and user trust. Your role will involve generating data-driven insights to develop countermeasures against abuse and fraud, ensuring the integrity of Google products. You will work globally and cross-functionally, tackling significant challenges that affect user safety and product integrity.
