Overview

Google is hiring a Program Manager for Environmental Health and Safety to lead complex projects and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You'll work with EHS management systems and collaborate with regulatory agencies. This role requires 1 year of experience in EHS management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 1 year of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management, industrial safety, or environmental compliance. Your background includes working with regulatory agencies such as OSHA and the EPA, and you are familiar with managing environmental permits and compliance timelines. You have experience managing Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes and using EHS management systems (EHSMS) effectively.

You are skilled at acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, managing unannounced site inspections, and responding to formal inquiries. Your expertise includes air emission calculations and tracking VOCs, HAPs, and greenhouse gases (GHG), along with familiarity with Title V permits or minor source emission limits. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all, and you are committed to creating opportunities for everyone.

What you'll do

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, coordinating with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres, requiring you to keep all players updated on progress and deadlines. You will identify and assess operational EHS risks through regular site audits and organize strategic meetings to mitigate potential hazards.

You will monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), using data-driven insights to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Your role will involve executing comprehensive reports and site-safety plans to ensure timely closure of CAPA and prevent recurrence of issues. You will collaborate with various teams to enhance safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. You will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that contribute to a safer and more sustainable environment. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with a culture that promotes professional growth and development.
