Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical or management field and at least 5 years of experience leading global, cross-functional teams in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audit or quality assurance. Your background includes certifications in relevant professional fields such as CSP, CISA, or PMP, showcasing your commitment to excellence in safety and compliance. You possess a deep understanding of international EHS regulatory standards and audit methodologies, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, which enables you to navigate complex compliance landscapes effectively.

Your ability to present risk data to C-suite executives and translate safety metrics into business value sets you apart. You have a demonstrated track record of designing and implementing vendor-led assessment models at a global scale, ensuring that safety practices are not only compliant but also contribute to organizational resilience. You thrive in collaborative environments and are skilled at coordinating multi-disciplinary projects that span offices, time zones, and hemispheres.

What you'll do

As an Assurance Manager at Google, you will oversee the end-to-end Global EHS Assurance Program, which includes the deployment and governance of third-party vendor-executed assessment models. You will work closely with senior leadership to align on safety initiatives and analyze global audit intelligence to identify systemic trends and deficiencies. Your role will involve spearheading program enhancements that reduce risk exposure and maintain robust safety systems across all operations.

You will manage EHS management systems and ensure environmental compliance for new data centers currently under construction in Austria. This includes providing site oversight and ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to during the construction phase. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate progress clearly. Your projects will often involve complex coordination efforts, requiring you to keep all players informed and engaged throughout the process.
