Google is hiring a SoC System Level Test Engineer to develop and optimize system-level test content for manufacturing screening. You'll work with Linux, Python, and TCP/IP to ensure test success in high-volume manufacturing environments. This position requires 2+ years of experience in product or test engineering.
Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and you have at least 2 years of experience in product engineering or test engineering. Your background includes experience in System-Level Test development for New Product Introduction (NPI) or High-Volume Manufacturing, and you are proficient in Linux/Unix and Python programming. You have a solid understanding of TCP/IP network configuration, which is crucial for this role.
With a Master's degree in a relevant field and 8 years of experience in hardware and semiconductor testing, you are well-versed in implementing secure ASIC/SoC manufacturing solutions. Your knowledge extends to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and System-Level Test (SLT) handlers, as well as the ASIC/SoC boot process and boot loader development. You are eager to contribute to a team that pushes boundaries and develops custom silicon solutions that power Google's products.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design and build systems within Google's computing infrastructure, developing from the lowest levels of circuit design to system design. You will see these systems through to high-volume manufacturing and mission-mode operation, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of performance and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include developing, debugging, and optimizing SLT test content for manufacturing screening, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the globe, including ATE and SLT Test Engineering, Packaging, Supplier Management, and Operations. Your contributions will directly impact the success of System-Level Tests, ensuring that Google's hardware products deliver unparalleled performance and integration.
