Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and have at least 2 years of experience in semiconductor failure analysis or a related process engineering role. You are familiar with standard failure analysis lab equipment such as Curve Tracer, Focused Ion Beam (FIB), and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Your experience includes working with Chip-on-Wafer-on-Substrate (CoWoS) packaging and interconnect analysis, as well as stress diagnostics. You have a solid understanding of semiconductor device physics and transistor operation, including Fin Field-Effect Transistor and Gate-All-Around Field-Effect Transistor technologies.
You are skilled in utilizing advanced diagnostics tools, including scan diagnosis, Automatic Test Pattern Generation (ATPG), and memory Built-In Self-Test (BIST) tools for fault isolation. You have experience diagnosing architecture-specific symptoms, such as cache bit flips and Serializer/Deserializer Input/Output (SerDes I/O) failures. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to the innovation behind products that impact millions worldwide.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of a team that develops custom silicon solutions, pushing boundaries in quality and reliability. You will partner with design, product, and foundry teams to interpret failure data and implement actions for design or process improvements. Your responsibilities will include generating Failure Analysis (FA) reports and developing novel workflows tailored for advanced technology nodes and three-dimensional (3D) packaging architectures. You will help build the System-on-a-chip (SoCs) that power Google's direct-to-consumer products, ensuring unparalleled performance and efficiency.
