Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree or have equivalent practical experience, and you have a foundational understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, ARP, and IP Tables. Your experience may include Unix systems administration and coding in languages like Java, C, or C++, as well as scripting in shell or Python. You thrive in team environments and are focused on knowledge sharing and collaboration, demonstrating excellent leadership and project management skills. Your organizational, communication, and time management skills are top-notch, allowing you to navigate complex tasks effectively.

What you'll do

As a participant in the Network Operations Residency Program, you will engage in various projects that enhance your understanding of network implementation engineering. You will collaborate with experienced Googlers to plan, deliver, and operate networking infrastructure, ensuring that Google's network remains reliable and efficient. Your role will involve monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, and responding to network connectivity issues. You will also contribute to innovative solutions by developing enhanced tools, automation, and process improvements, all while gaining valuable experience in network engineering and data center operations.
