Job Description
Who you are
You are currently pursuing an Associate's degree, trade school certification, or related training program certification in a relevant technical field such as CMCO or SMT. You have experience in Mechanical/Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), or electrical systems, and you are capable of participating in material handling tasks, including lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs. You understand the importance of safety and are familiar with OSHA standard safety equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety harnesses.
You are eager to learn quickly and address issues as they arise, whether during normal working hours or when on-call. Your ability to perform repetitive technical and manual work is complemented by your commitment to safety and efficiency in a critical environment. You are ready to train alongside experienced technicians and contribute to the maintenance and repairs of non-production facilities systems.
What you'll do
In this role, you will operate, monitor, and support facility activities at Google's data centers. You will ensure that problems are identified and repaired quickly, and that contractors deliver quality services and preventive maintenance. You will assist executive technicians in assessing systems' working order and reading blueprints or schematics. Your responsibilities will include following approved procedures, acquiring knowledge of procedural development processes, and assisting in the resolution of tickets and work orders. You will complete all assigned training as scheduled, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.
