Overview

Google is hiring a Product Manager II for their Extended Reality System UI team. You'll guide products from conception to launch, working cross-functionally with technical and business teams. This position requires 5 years of experience in product management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role. You have a proven track record of taking technical products from conception to launch, demonstrating your ability to manage the entire product lifecycle effectively. Your experience in the XR industry, including launches and research, sets you apart, as does your familiarity with developing new system capabilities, features, and interfaces. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers, designers, and marketers to create innovative products that enhance user experiences. You are adaptable and excited to work on products that impact millions of users daily, breaking down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product development.

Desirable

A Master's degree in a technology or business-related field is preferred, along with 2 years of experience in the XR industry. Experience in adopting system interfaces to new products or product categories will be beneficial, as will your ability to develop conversationally-driven interaction systems. Your experience working with external partners to jointly ship products will enhance your candidacy.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch, connecting the technical and business worlds. You will collaborate with UX and UXR teams to define an intuitive system design language that prioritizes ease of use across various form factors. Cultivating relationships with internal and external cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure that the System UI effectively manages app dependencies, input modalities, and platform integrations. You will drive user-driven quality and performance KPIs, ensuring that the products meet the high standards expected by Google users. Your role will involve analyzing market trends and user feedback to inform product decisions, as well as coordinating with various stakeholders to align product strategies with business objectives.
