Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 5 years of experience managing programs with multiple work streams in compliance, risk management, audit, legal, or consulting. Your background includes working with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders in a changing global environment, showcasing your adaptability and communication skills. You possess an advanced degree in a relevant field such as business, compliance, or law, which enhances your understanding of the complexities involved in compliance and regulatory frameworks.
Your experience spans areas such as content, AI, privacy, consumer protection, or competition, allowing you to navigate the intricacies of compliance programs effectively. You have a proven ability to craft clear and concise narratives tailored to inform and influence different stakeholders, demonstrating your strong communication skills. You excel in influencing and motivating partner teams in highly ambiguous environments without direct authority, showcasing your leadership capabilities.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of the Trust and Safety team, tasked with identifying and addressing significant challenges that affect the safety and integrity of Google products. You will leverage your technical know-how and problem-solving skills to protect users and partners from abuse across platforms like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. Your responsibilities will include collaborating globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and combat abuse and fraud cases with urgency.
You will partner with Legal to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable steps for the Trust and Safety teams, ensuring compliance readiness from day one. Your role will involve program managing the implementation of these compliance measures, effectively communicating status updates, and escalating risks as necessary. You will work closely with various stakeholders across Google to align efforts and drive towards mutually agreed-upon solutions, ensuring that the organization is prepared for emerging regulations and thematic trends.
