Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in a sales role where you've consistently exceeded business goals. Your background includes at least 2 years of experience in engineering or promoting AI or data analytics technologies, which has equipped you with a deep understanding of the market trends and solutions in this space. You are fluent in Japanese, enabling you to effectively communicate with local stakeholders, and you also possess the ability to communicate in English for interactions with international teams.

Your experience includes developing new territories and accounts, as well as supporting executive relationships. You have a proven track record of prioritizing, planning, and organizing solution-based business activities within business cycles. You are adept at qualifying accounts and leveraging partner ecosystems to drive sales success. Your collaborative nature allows you to work seamlessly with internal and external teams, including account teams, technical leads, procurement, and legal, to build business cases for transformation and close agreements.

You have a strong knowledge of AI SaaS platforms and Cloud AI technologies, and you understand the implications of Generative AI in business contexts. Your ability to navigate complex sales processes and deliver against quotas makes you a valuable asset to any sales team.

Desirable

Experience in engineering or promoting AI SaaS platforms or Cloud AI technologies is a plus, as is a deep understanding of market trends and products related to Cloud and AI. Your ability to communicate fluently in both Japanese and English will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Google Cloud's AI technologies across an assigned territory in Tokyo. You will work with multiple customers and opportunities simultaneously, understanding each customer’s technology, strategy, growth plans, and business drivers. Your goal will be to help customers transform their businesses using Google Cloud technologies, delivering against quotas and achieving or exceeding business and growth goals.

You will forecast and report on the territory’s business, ensuring that you are aligned with the overall sales strategy. Your role will involve building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions that leverage Google Cloud's offerings. You will collaborate with various teams within Google to ensure that customer needs are met and that you are positioned as a trusted advisor in the AI space.
