Google is hiring a Cluster Security Manager to lead security operations in the Australasia region. You'll manage security personnel, coordinate physical security measures, and conduct investigations. This role requires 7 years of experience in security operations management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 7 years of experience managing security operations. Your background includes working with vendors and managing contracted security personnel, ensuring that security measures are effectively implemented and maintained. You possess strong judgment, discretion, and ethical standards, which are essential for handling confidential and sensitive information. Your experience with security technologies such as CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems has equipped you with the skills necessary to oversee security operations effectively.

You are adept at conducting investigations related to criminal, human resources, and safety incidents. Your ability to manage security personnel and deliver customer-oriented security programs demonstrates your commitment to maintaining a safe environment. While an active NV1 security clearance is preferred, it is not essential for this role. You are ready to take on the challenge of leading Google's Global Security & Resilience Services (GSRS) for operations in Australia and New Zealand.

What you'll do

As the Cluster Security Manager, you will report to the Regional Security Director and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance the security and safety of Google’s operations in the Australasia region. Your responsibilities will include coordinating physical security measures, such as security services, access control, and CCTV systems, as well as conducting site surveys to assess security needs. You will lead investigations, perform risk and threat assessments, and develop customized policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.

In this role, you will supervise employees and contractors, monitoring their performance and expenses to ensure that security objectives are met. You will provide regional leadership for Google's ANZ physical security program, overseeing vendor delivery and ensuring that security personnel are prepared to respond to emergencies and support both planned and unplanned operations. Additionally, you will conduct data analysis and benchmarking to support risk assessments and threat identification, and develop travel briefings on crime and health risks for specified regions.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that values security and resilience in its operations. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the safety and security of our employees and facilities. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Join us in making a difference in the security landscape of Google’s operations in the Australasia region.
