Overview

Google is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to oversee global manufacturing operations. You'll leverage your expertise in Surface Mount Technology and Printed Circuit Board Assembly to drive process improvements and manage complex projects. This role requires 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in manufacturing focused on Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), System Integration, and New Product Introduction (NPI) process development. Your preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Engineering or a related technical field, and you bring 10 years of experience in SMT, PCBA, System Integration, and NPI process development. You are skilled in setting up Statistical Process Control (SPC), Potential Capability (CP)/Actual Performance (CPK) monitoring, and using statistical analysis tools and manufacturing inspection procedures. Your experience with CAD tools such as Valor, AutoCAD, Cadence Allegro, and Gerber is extensive, and you have a proven track record of collaborating with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) to drive partnerships effectively.

Monitoring assembly processes to identify issues will be crucial, as you will lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions with suppliers to resolve production constraints.
