Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, and you have at least 8 years of experience in manufacturing Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and system integration manufacturing. Your expertise extends to NPI process development, and you are well-versed in using CAD tools such as Valor, AutoCAD, Cadence Allegro, and Gerber tools. You have a strong background in collaborating with cross-functional teams and CM/ODM partners, ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient and effective.

With a Master's Degree or PhD in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, you bring 20 years of experience in SMT and final assembly process development. You are skilled in setting up SPC, CP, and CPK monitoring, and you have a solid understanding of statistical analysis tools. Your leadership experience includes guiding cross-functional teams and collaborating with CM/ODM partners to achieve project goals.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to provide clear direction to partners while managing multiple complex projects in ambiguous environments. Your knowledge of industry manufacturing inspection and testing procedures ensures that you maintain high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process.

What you'll do

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Google, you will evaluate product designs and create the processes, tools, and procedures necessary for manufacturing. You will support product bring-up and provide design for excellence (DFx) and yield feedback. Your role will involve managing products from launch through end of life (EOL), supporting sustaining activities, and overseeing assembly control, yield, automation solutions, and cost reduction initiatives. You will monitor L6/L10 assembly processes to lead root cause investigations and corrective actions, working closely with the CM and Google cross-functional team to ensure that manufacturing processes are repeatable and efficient.

You will be responsible for collaborating with various teams to ensure that the manufacturing capability meets the demands of Google's state-of-the-art physical infrastructure. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and quality of the manufacturing processes, helping to deliver high-quality products that meet Google's standards. You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing operations team, ensuring that processes are optimized for performance and cost-effectiveness.
