Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in a policy, legal, trust and safety, or technology environment. Your background may include a JD, MBA, or a Masterβs degree in a technical field, and you possess experience with the ads ecosystem or ad technology. You excel at translating privacy and personalization policies to product and engineering teams, and you have the ability to communicate complex issues in simple and clear language. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you pay great attention to detail in an ever-changing environment. You are a strategic thinker and a team player, passionate about promoting trust and ensuring user safety across Google products.
What you'll do
As a Senior Product Policy Advisor, you will advise internal Google teams on core principles and design policies and standards to address abuse issues coming from the public, users, and internal stakeholders. You will influence product decisions and prioritization, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other Trust and Safety teams to improve user experience for policy-related issues. Your role will involve navigating organizational boundaries and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to tackle the biggest challenges that affect the safety and integrity of Google products. You will be prepared to work with sensitive content or situations, ensuring that you remain focused on protecting users and partners from abuse across platforms like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads.
