Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages. You possess 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, along with 1 year of experience in software design and architecture. Your background includes designing software architectures, components, modules, interfaces, and data for systems that meet specified requirements. You have experience in end-to-end large-scale distributed system development, productionization, monitoring, and release management, and you are skilled in processing large volumes of data. You are adept at debugging, triaging, and fixing program code or system issues, and you thrive in environments that require innovative thinking and problem-solving.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on critical projects that are essential to Googleβs needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. You will integrate and efficiently compose multiple scalable systems that perform large-scale dynamic analysis, static analysis, and machine learning systems. Your role will involve collaborating on monitoring solutions and solving testing problems in production. You will contribute to the development of next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. You will be expected to bring fresh ideas from various areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile.
