Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, along with 6 years of experience in troubleshooting and advocating for customer needs. Your background includes creating content for technical audiences, such as developer documentation and industry white papers, showcasing your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

You are proficient in writing, reading, and debugging code in languages like Java, C, C++, Python, or Go. Your experience with distributed systems and web technologies, including HTTP, HTML, DNS, and TCP, equips you to handle various technical challenges. You also have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, such as Load Balancing and TCP/IP, which is crucial for this role.

Your expertise extends to developing developer tools, including automation, testing, and debugging, which enhances your ability to support customers effectively. You are familiar with public cloud services and infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform, and have experience in techniques like packet capture and load testing to troubleshoot network performance issues.

You possess strong crisis response skills and can manage escalations across multiple teams, influencing the momentum of incident responses for critical customer issues. Your knowledge of Linux or Unix systems at a system/network administrator level further strengthens your technical capabilities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, helping to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud services. You will understand customer issues and advocate for their needs with internal teams, driving improvements in the product and production processes.

Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting technical issues, creating solutions for customer-reported problems, and building tools for faster diagnosis. You will collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer organizations to enhance customer support and ensure a seamless experience.

You will also be involved in creating and maintaining technical documentation, ensuring that it meets the needs of both internal teams and external customers. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts will be essential in this collaborative environment.
