Silicon Validation Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 3 years of experience in silicon validation or verification. Your experience includes working with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl, and you are proficient in programming with C or C++. You possess a strong understanding of CPU architectures, particularly ARM, and have experience validating complex System-on-Chip (SoC) blocks. Your background also includes working with pre-silicon validation platforms like emulation or FPGAs, as well as post-silicon debug using JTAG debuggers like Lauterbach. You have knowledge of operating system fundamentals and experience with bare-metal programming, which allows you to contribute effectively to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will execute tests to validate hardware IP blocks and ensure system-level integration. You will validate designs on both pre-silicon (emulation/FPGA) and post-silicon platforms to guarantee functionality and performance. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with Software, Architecture, Design, and Design Verification (DV) teams to create comprehensive test plans. You will lead silicon debug efforts for complex issues and support the analysis of field failures, contributing to the innovation behind Google's direct-to-consumer products. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration.
