Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience programming in C++ or Python. Your background includes working with performance, large-scale systems, data analysis, and visualization tools. You are familiar with debugging and have a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields is preferred, along with experience in developing accessible technologies. You possess proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering. You are versatile and display leadership qualities, eager to tackle new problems across the full-stack as technology continues to evolve.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will work on specific projects that are critical to the company's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business grows. You will design, develop, and test software solutions that handle information at massive scale, contributing to the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect and interact. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring best practices in coding and system health. Your role will involve triaging product or system issues, debugging, and tracking resolutions by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality. You will also contribute to existing documentation and educational content, adapting it based on product updates and user feedback.
