Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 6 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs. Your background includes triaging technical issues and software development, allowing you to effectively communicate with technical audiences. You are proficient in creating content for technical audiences and have a solid understanding of web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, DNS, and TCP.
You possess strong coding skills, having written, read, and debugged code in languages like Java, C, C++, Python, or Go. Your experience includes working with distributed systems, design patterns, and best practices, which enables you to tackle complex technical challenges. You are also fluent in English and Mandarin, which is essential for supporting client relationship management in the region.
Your preferred qualifications include experience with public cloud services and infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform. You have developed developer tools such as automation, testing, and debugging tools, and have experience with system virtualization and hybrid cloud computing solutions.
You are familiar with cloud computing and have a knack for debugging complex workload issues across large-scale, multi-node environments. Your experience as a system or network administrator working with Linux/Unix systems, from kernel to shell, file systems, and client-server protocols, adds to your technical prowess.
You have a proven track record in crisis response or escalation management across multiple teams, demonstrating your ability to influence the momentum of incident response for critical customer issues. You thrive in environments focused on solutions and customer-centric supportability, helping to build customer trust and enable their growth and success on Google Cloud Platform.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of a global team dedicated to providing high-touch support to customers. You will troubleshoot technical challenges and advocate for customer needs, ensuring that their issues are resolved promptly and effectively. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with internal teams, including Product and Engineering, to find ways to improve the product and drive production.
You will participate in rotating on-call schedules, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure prompt resolution of customer-impacting technical challenges. Additionally, you may be required to travel up to 15% in-region for meetings and onsite delivery activities as needed.
Your role will involve creating and maintaining technical documentation, as well as developing content for technical audiences. You will also engage in proactive communication with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance their experience with Google Cloud Platform.
