Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, and at least 10 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments. With 5 years of experience in mechanical process engineering and manufacturing automation, you are well-versed in designing and implementing automation solutions in industrial settings. Your proficiency with CAD software, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming sets you apart in the field. You also possess knowledge of robotics, control systems, and industrial automation, which enhances your ability to contribute to complex projects.
Your preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Engineering or Business, or a professional engineering license. You have experience in estimation, mechanical design, operation, and commissioning of mission-critical data center mechanical equipment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and product quality management systems is also part of your skill set. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of mechanical and automation solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take on the responsibility of optimizing mechanical infrastructure within Google's data centers. You will lead the design and implementation of automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reliability. Your role will involve performing business case evaluations for new manufacturing technologies and equipment investments, presenting your recommendations to stakeholders.
