Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development. Your expertise includes working with GPU drivers and embedded programming in C, and you have a solid understanding of GPU and Mobile GPU technologies. You also possess experience in Kernel Drivers and are proficient in C++ or Android development. If you have a Masterβs degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, thatβs a plus. You have spent at least 3 years in a technical leadership role, guiding project teams and setting technical direction.
You are versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack, demonstrating leadership qualities that inspire your team. Your background in developing next-generation technologies equips you to handle information at massive scale, and you are eager to contribute fresh ideas from various areas, including distributed computing and large-scale system design.
What you'll do
As a member of Pixel's GPU driver team, you will share ownership of the kernel GPU driver and the user-space graphics driver stack. Your role will involve developing GPU graphics and compute technologies that span the full GPU software stack. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to define the role and requirements of the GPU in future product designs. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and bringing up devices, ensuring that the GPU meets the evolving needs of Google's products.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align on goals, outcomes, and timelines, ensuring that the GPU technologies you develop are integrated seamlessly into future products. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the technical direction of projects, and you will have opportunities to switch teams and projects as Google's fast-paced business evolves.
