Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development. With 5 years of experience testing and launching software products, you also possess 3 years of experience in software design and architecture. Your background includes 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: speech/audio technology, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field. You are well-versed in ML design and infrastructure, including model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning.

You have a strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, applied mathematics, or operations research, gained through industry or academic experience. Your familiarity with Ads, AdsML, LegoML, Keras, or TFX is a significant asset. You excel at productionizing ML systems and have experience in experiment design. You are capable of writing high-quality, low-latency code/models that can train on and serve every query.

What you'll do

As a Staff ML Engineer at Google, you will contribute to the development of next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect and interact with information. You will be responsible for running and analyzing experiments using investigative and statistical methods, ensuring model stability and performance through code health, automation, and alerting systems. You will participate in on-call rotations for model health, collaborating with team members to support critical systems. Your work will involve learning about the bidding machine learning models that drive billions in ad business across Google Ads, and you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of technologies, including information retrieval, distributed computing, and large-scale system design.
