You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience, along with 4 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. Your background includes specific experience in the custom silicon and ASIC category, as well as commodity management, contract negotiation, and supplier development. You possess a Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration, and have 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing focused on the custom silicon and semiconductor manufacturing landscape. Your understanding of silicon processes, advanced packaging technologies, IP licensing, and sub-tier supplier capabilities sets you apart. You are skilled in performing complex cost modeling and interpreting market data to drive measurable financial results, and you have the ability to influence global, cross-functional teams in fluid environments.

What you'll do

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Google, you will work closely with Engineering teams to ensure that the supplies and equipment needed for production are available. You will utilize your industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize the total cost of ownership for Google's global infrastructure. Your role will involve driving cost-reduction initiatives using expert-level modeling while monitoring market trends across wafer fab, packaging, and IP landscapes. You will partner with Engineering, Finance, and Quality teams to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure alignment on technical requirements. Your contributions will have a significant impact on Google's bottom line, as savings on hardware can lead to substantial financial benefits for the company. You will also qualify global suppliers while managing high-level relationships to ensure favorable business terms and contract compliance.
