Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in program management. Your background includes managing the end-to-end software product development lifecycle, particularly in AI/ML based feature development. You are adept at building collaborative relationships and influencing partners across Engineering, Product, and UX teams. You thrive in ambiguous situations, proactively identifying risks and managing dependencies to create structure. Your technical aptitude allows you to understand architectural dependencies and discuss technical blockers with engineering teams.
Desirable
You have 5 years of experience in program management, particularly in emerging technologies or a related technical field. Your experience includes managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, delivering projects from initiation to launch while keeping stakeholders aligned. You are comfortable explaining analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs in product development with stakeholders and leadership.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You will identify, track, and mitigate project-level risks and dependencies, ensuring all safety, legal, privacy, and regulatory checkpoints are addressed, documented, and met for a smooth and compliant launch. You will utilize data-driven frameworks, project management tools, and OKRs to track program health and progress, maintaining accurate and current project documentation.
