Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 2 years of experience in program management. Your background includes experience in security or privacy, particularly in incident response management, which encompasses crisis communication, risk mitigation, and policy enforcement. You are comfortable managing cross-functional projects in a data-driven environment and have a strong understanding of advanced system architecture and design. Your technical troubleshooting skills are complemented by your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with operational teams to ensure that incident communications are timely and effective. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all, and you are committed to protecting user privacy through innovative incident response strategies. You have a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements for processes, playbooks, and tools, ensuring high-quality outcomes in privacy incident management.

Desirable

A Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred. Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects will set you apart, as will familiarity with security and privacy standards in enterprise software environments.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, utilizing your technical expertise to guide teams through the incident response lifecycle. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your role will involve drafting communications strategies and delivering incident communications, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process.

You will be responsible for leading the full life-cycle of incident communications, from initial strategy development to execution.
