Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in program management. Your background includes 5 years in a leadership role with direct reports, demonstrating your ability to manage teams effectively. You have experience working with Product Engineering, Product Management, Reliability/Quality, Manufacturing Operations, and Engineering Program Management (EPM). Your expertise extends to managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, particularly in hardware development and manufacturing processes.
You are skilled in vendor relations and have experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) in Asia. Your ability to run programs and manage teams developing consumer hardware is complemented by your experience in change management, which drives business success. You excel in executive-level communication, allowing you to convey complex ideas clearly to stakeholders. You thrive in environments where multitasking and prioritization are essential, especially when managing multiple tasks or projects.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, utilizing your engineering expertise to guide teams through the entire project lifecycle. You will plan requirements with internal customers, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate them effectively to project stakeholders. Your role will involve simplifying execution, managing Objectives and Key Results, and ensuring timely releases while implementing tooling for efficiencies.
You will lead and mentor team members, identifying areas for process improvement, automation, and cost savings to achieve business goals. Your focus will be on bringing visibility and strengthening communication across teams, executives, and other key stakeholders by highlighting risks and building mitigation plans. You will keep the big picture in focus while diving into the unique engineering challenges that arise daily, ensuring that projects align with Google's mission and objectives.
