Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field, along with equivalent practical experience. With at least 2 years of experience in program management and construction quality, you are well-versed in data center renovations and understand the importance of quality assurance in construction projects. You are comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time and possess strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.

You may hold certifications such as Commissioning Authority (CxA) or Construction Quality Management, which further enhance your qualifications. Your experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects has equipped you with the ability to solve complex problems effectively. You thrive in environments where collaboration is key, and you are adept at explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, ensuring that all aspects of construction quality are met. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. Your role will involve bridging the gap between Data Center Construction and Data Center Operations, managing third-party Commissioning Authorities, and defining risk mitigation strategies for high-stakes live cutovers.

You will drive the rigorous validation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring seamless integration and operational reliability. Your ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional partners will be essential in maintaining project momentum and achieving quality standards. You will also be responsible for implementing industry-leading practices to enhance the impact of the Google Data Center Quality Program.
