Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes managing programs related to cryptography, security, or infrastructure, and you have experience leading change management initiatives for technical deployments. You are comfortable presenting to executives and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You understand that a problem isnβt truly solved until itβs solved for all, which aligns with Google's mission to create opportunities for everyone.
You have a strong foundation in security engineering principles and practices, and you are adept at defining and tracking technical and business metrics to measure program success. Your experience includes managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, which has equipped you with the skills to navigate complex organizational dynamics. You are also familiar with open-source projects, publications, and conference presentations, showcasing your commitment to the field.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your role will involve leading Google's defense against pressing threats and vulnerabilities to data integrity and identity, particularly in the context of emerging technologies like quantum computing.
You will review key metrics pertaining to your programs, monitor potential deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations. Collaboration is key, and you will identify, communicate, and work with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
