Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related technical field, along with 8 years of experience in program management. Your background includes extensive experience in electrical safety, high-reliability electrical operations, and electrical design within mission-critical environments such as data centers or power generation. You are also familiar with safety certifications like Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and have a Professional Engineer (PE) license, particularly in Electrical Engineering.
You possess strong leadership skills and are comfortable providing authoritative technical guidance on electrical systems and operational safety practices. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executives allows you to align project goals with organizational objectives. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at managing project schedules and identifying risks.
What you'll do
As the principal Electrical Safety Leader at Google, you will define, align, and implement a comprehensive strategy for electrical safety across various projects. You will establish a framework to ensure compliance with local, national, and international electrical safety regulations. Your role will involve leading incident investigations related to electrical safety and providing technical guidance on design standards and operational safety practices.
You will work closely with stakeholders to plan project requirements and manage schedules, ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing electrical safety training programs and governance structures.
