You are familiar with observability tools and understand the importance of metrics, logs, and traces in modern software applications. Your expertise in Java and PostgreSQL allows you to design efficient data models and optimize queries for performance. You have experience working with Docker and understand containerization principles, which helps you in deploying applications consistently across various environments. What you'll do
As a Backend Software Engineer at Grafana, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Mimir Ingest component of our observability platform. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to design and implement features that enhance the user experience and improve system performance. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various data sources into Grafana, enabling users to visualize and analyze their data effectively. You will also contribute to the architecture and design of the backend systems, ensuring they are scalable and resilient. Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the services you build will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise in production.
