You have a strong background in backend engineering, ideally with experience in building scalable systems that handle large volumes of data. You understand the intricacies of observability and have a passion for open-source technologies. You possess a deep understanding of the Grafana ecosystem and its components, including Grafana Mimir, Loki, and Tempo. Your experience with observability tools allows you to contribute effectively to the development of innovative solutions that meet customer needs. You are proactive in seeking out challenges and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What you'll do
As a Backend Software Engineer on the Mimir Ingest team, you will design and implement features that enhance the Grafana Cloud platform. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to ensure that the integration of metrics, logs, and traces is seamless and efficient. Your role will involve writing high-quality code, conducting code reviews, and participating in architectural discussions to improve system performance.
You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise in production, ensuring that our observability solutions remain reliable and effective for our users. Collaboration is key, and you will engage with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide feedback on product features.
