Overview

Graphcore is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to contribute to the architecture and deployment of scalable management solutions for AI infrastructure. You'll work with technologies like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to create innovative observability solutions. This role requires extensive experience in software engineering and cloud technologies.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable systems and observability solutions. Your expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, allows you to design and implement robust infrastructure management solutions that meet the demands of AI workloads. You are proficient in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, enabling you to create efficient deployment pipelines and manage complex applications effectively.

Your background includes working with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, which you use to ensure system reliability and performance. You have a solid understanding of data center infrastructure management and are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Your problem-solving skills and ability to create proof-of-concepts demonstrate your innovative approach to engineering challenges.

You thrive in an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and you are committed to fostering a collaborative culture. You understand the importance of mentorship and are eager to share your knowledge with junior engineers, helping them grow in their careers.

Desirable

Experience with AI infrastructure or semiconductor technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with third-party integrations and tooling. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Senior Staff Engineer at Graphcore, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and deployment of observability solutions for AI infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with product and architecture teams to ensure that the solutions you develop are functionally complete, easy to deploy, and user-friendly. Your responsibilities will include creating reference designs and integrations with third-party tools, ensuring that our internal engineering efforts are well-supported.

You will lead initiatives to establish best practices for monitoring and observability, working with software and cloud teams to implement these solutions effectively. Your role will involve hands-on development, where you will create proof-of-concepts that demonstrate the capabilities of our next-generation products. You will also be responsible for documenting your work and sharing insights with the broader engineering team to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

In addition to your technical contributions, you will participate in strategic discussions about the future direction of our observability solutions, providing input based on your extensive experience and understanding of industry trends. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, guiding them through complex projects and helping them develop their skills.

What we offer

Graphcore offers a competitive salary range of PLN 303,800 - 411,000, reflecting your experience and the responsibilities of the role. You will be part of a dynamic team that is at the forefront of AI technology, working in an inclusive environment that values diversity and collaboration. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe in the potential of every individual to contribute to our mission. Join us in building the future of AI compute and make a significant impact on the industry.
