Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting with experience in managing the monthly close process β your attention to detail ensures that all financial transactions are recorded accurately. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement within accounting functions and are comfortable leading initiatives to enhance efficiency.
You possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and are adept at applying various accounting pronouncements β your analytical skills allow you to research and resolve technical accounting issues effectively. You are also experienced in preparing financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
What you'll do
As a Senior Accountant at Gravie, you will participate in the monthly accounting close process, preparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. You will own the Reinsurance Dashboard, coordinating with multiple teams to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation. Your role will involve assisting in the preparation of monthly variance analysis and providing supporting information for the companyβs financial statements.
You will act as a resource for external auditors, facilitating their requests and ensuring a smooth audit process. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to improve current accounting practices, contributing to the overall success of the accounting function. Your insights and recommendations will play a crucial role in shaping the financial operations of Gravie.
