Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage complex accounting areas and support the monthly and quarterly close process. You'll ensure accurate financial reporting and work cross-functionally within Finance. This role requires strong attention to detail and experience in GAAP compliance.

Who you are
You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting. You have experience managing complex accounting areas and are familiar with GAAP compliance. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy in financial reporting, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can work cross-functionally with various teams.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively coach and provide feedback to junior staff. You are proactive in identifying process improvements and are eager to contribute to the growth of the accounting function within a fast-paced organization.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and manage complex areas of accounting, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. You will support the month-end and quarter-end close processes, which include preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and conducting variance analysis. Your responsibilities will also involve reviewing the work of Staff Accountants and providing coaching to help them develop their skills.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, which is crucial for the company's success. Additionally, you will support external audits and collaborate with senior finance leadership to drive process improvements as the company scales. Your contributions will help optimize accounting processes and enhance the overall efficiency of the finance team.
