Gympass is seeking a Labor & Employment Counsel Manager to lead employment law matters across Europe. You'll provide strategic legal advice and partner with HR and business leaders. This role requires extensive experience in labor and employment law.

Who you are

You are a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in labor and employment law, possessing at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your expertise spans across various aspects of EU local laws, including contracts, terminations, and compensation. You have a proven track record in complex advisory work and strategic litigation management, demonstrating your ability to navigate intricate legal landscapes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with senior HR and business leaders to provide sound legal advice that aligns with business objectives. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to non-legal stakeholders. You are proactive in identifying potential legal issues and providing solutions that support the company's mission of promoting workplace wellness.

Desirable

Experience in international employment law is a plus, as is familiarity with the wellness industry. You are adaptable and open to learning about new legal challenges as they arise in a rapidly evolving business landscape. A strong network within the legal community can enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

As the Labor & Employment Counsel Manager, you will serve as the primary in-house employment law expert for Gympass's operations in Europe. You will advise on a wide range of employment matters, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. Your role will involve drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures to align with best practices and legal requirements. You will also manage strategic litigation, working closely with external counsel when necessary to protect the company's interests. Collaborating with HR, you will help develop training programs that educate employees and management on legal compliance and workplace policies. You will play a key role in shaping the company's approach to employee relations, fostering a culture of transparency and fairness. Your insights will guide the business in making informed decisions that impact employee wellbeing and organizational success.
