Who you are

You have a strong background in platform engineering and site reliability, with at least 5 years of experience in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure. Your expertise in AWS and cloud technologies allows you to design secure and efficient systems that support engineering teams in their mission. You are proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, enabling you to create robust deployment pipelines. Your experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform helps you automate and streamline operational processes, ensuring reliability and efficiency in your work.

You are comfortable working in a Linux environment and have a deep understanding of system administration, networking, and security practices. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related challenges. Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail enable you to evaluate and improve operational processes continuously. You are passionate about creating a culture of reliability and efficiency within your team, and you enjoy mentoring junior engineers to help them grow in their careers.

Desirable

Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus or Grafana is a plus, as it allows you to maintain visibility into system performance and reliability. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools will enhance your ability to drive automation and efficiency in deployment processes. You may also have experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash, which can further aid in automating tasks and improving workflows.

What you'll do

As a Staff Platform Engineer | SRE at Gympass, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a global infrastructure that supports our mission of promoting workplace wellness. You will collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement scalable and secure systems that enable them to deploy their applications autonomously. Your work will involve evaluating existing operational processes and identifying opportunities for automation and improvement, driving initiatives that reduce manual intervention and enhance system reliability.

You will be responsible for creating and managing CI/CD pipelines that facilitate seamless deployment and integration of new features. Your expertise in containerization and orchestration will be essential in ensuring that our applications run smoothly and efficiently in production environments. You will also implement monitoring and alerting solutions to maintain system health and performance, proactively addressing issues before they impact users.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to understand their needs and provide the necessary infrastructure support to help them achieve their goals.
