Who you are

You have extensive experience in platform engineering, particularly in building and optimizing observability ecosystems. Your background includes working with high-scale distributed architectures, and you understand the importance of transforming observability from a passive toolset into a strategic asset. You are proficient in using open-source standards and have a strong grasp of cloud technologies, particularly AWS.

You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about empowering engineering teams to take ownership of their work. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you an effective collaborator with cross-functional teams. You are committed to creating efficient and reliable systems that enhance the overall performance of the platform.

Desirable

Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and monitoring solutions such as Grafana and Prometheus is a plus. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools will also be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As a Staff Platform Engineer at Gympass, you will lead the evolution of the observability ecosystem, ensuring it meets the needs of engineering teams across the organization. You will design and implement solutions that provide comprehensive visibility into system performance, enabling teams to proactively address issues and improve reliability. Your role will involve collaborating closely with other engineers to build a self-service observability platform that empowers teams to monitor and optimize their services effectively.

You will also be responsible for establishing best practices for observability and monitoring, guiding teams in adopting these practices to enhance their workflows. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of the platform, helping to shape a healthier world through improved workplace wellness solutions.
