Who you are

You have 7+ years of experience in data science, ideally with 2-3 years in a Staff-level or tech-lead capacity — you've successfully led data science initiatives that have had a significant impact on business outcomes. You possess a deep understanding of statistics, experimentation, and causal inference, and know how to apply these concepts pragmatically to real-world problems.

You are fluent in Python and SQL, and have experience with modern data and machine learning tooling — you have a track record of bringing machine learning models into production and measuring their rigor and impact. Your ability to communicate complex insights and recommendations to senior leadership has influenced product and growth strategies in your previous roles.

You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to turn data into actionable decisions that improve reliability, growth, and user experience across markets. You are passionate about mentoring and coaching other data scientists and analysts, helping them elevate their analytical standards and impact.

Desirable

Experience in marketplace or pricing systems, such as supply-demand modeling, matching, or fraud detection, is a plus. Familiarity with MLOps, feature stores, or causal inference frameworks will set you apart as a candidate who can contribute to Heetch’s data platform evolution.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead data science initiatives with company-wide impact, from developing experimentation frameworks to implementing machine learning systems and causal inference methods. You will define best practices and standards for experimentation, modeling, and analytical excellence across teams, ensuring that data-driven decision-making is at the forefront of Heetch's strategy.

You will partner with Product and Engineering leadership to identify and prioritize high-leverage opportunities that drive measurable business outcomes. Your work will involve developing and deploying scalable models and data products that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

As a Senior Technical Leader, you will mentor and coach other data scientists and analysts, guiding them in delivering higher-impact work and fostering a culture of analytical excellence. You will communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing product and growth strategy through data-driven narratives.
