Automation Technician • Mid-Level

Who you are

You are an experienced Automation Technician with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems. You have a proven track record of performing preventive maintenance and routine inspections on automation and conveyance equipment. Your troubleshooting skills are top-notch, allowing you to quickly identify and resolve issues with out-of-service equipment. You enjoy mentoring others and have experience guiding lower-level technicians in developing their skills. You are detail-oriented and have experience documenting work in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Desirable

Experience with robotics and advanced automation systems is a plus. Familiarity with root cause analysis and the ability to lead such initiatives will set you apart. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to share your knowledge with your team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various automation and conveyance systems to support operational uptime. You will conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally. When equipment goes out of service, you will troubleshoot the issues and implement corrective actions. You will also act as an escalation point for lower-level technicians, providing guidance and support as needed. Your role will involve documenting all maintenance activities in the CMMS and ticketing systems, ensuring accurate records are maintained.

You will lead root cause analysis for major downtime events, collaborating with your team to develop strategies that improve reliability and performance. Additionally, you will mentor maintenance personnel, helping them develop their skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems. Your expertise will be crucial in auditing vendor work and providing feedback to leadership on quality and service level agreements (SLAs).
