Overview

HelloFresh is hiring a Weekend Buyer for Packaging to manage purchasing and inventory for packaging SKUs. You'll collaborate with distribution centers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries. This role requires strong organizational skills and experience in procurement.

Job Description

Who you are

You have experience in procurement and inventory management, ideally within a fast-paced environment. You understand the importance of maintaining inventory levels that align with production schedules and can effectively manage relationships with suppliers and distribution centers. You are detail-oriented and capable of analyzing data to make informed purchasing decisions. You thrive in a collaborative setting, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operational success. You are proactive in resolving issues and can hold suppliers accountable for quality and delivery timelines. You are comfortable leading team meetings and facilitating discussions to prepare for weekend operations. You are adaptable and open to continuous improvement initiatives, always looking for ways to enhance processes and efficiency.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the purchasing and inventory management activities for various packaging SKUs, ensuring that the right products are available at the right time. You will manage key operations processes, including placing purchase orders, tracking freight, and resolving production issues. You will analyze data to manage inventory and capacity levels effectively. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with HelloFresh distribution centers, 3PL warehouse locations, and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries. You will lead team meetings with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure readiness for each weekend. You will also be responsible for managing cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives, recommending and testing new processes to implement positive changes. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the flow of operations and ensuring that inventory levels meet demand requirements.
