Who you are
You have a strong background in food safety and quality assurance, ideally with experience in managing teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your leadership skills are evident as you manage a diverse team, providing them with the necessary training and tools to excel in their roles. You are detail-oriented and have a keen eye for identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in food safety practices. Your ability to perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of food quality.
You are a collaborative individual who enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and production. Your communication skills enable you to effectively liaise with regulatory inspectors and prepare for audits, ensuring that all protocols are followed meticulously. You are proactive in driving continuous improvement initiatives and are committed to fostering a culture of safety and quality within the organization.
Desirable
Experience in the food industry, particularly with perishable goods, is a plus. Familiarity with third-party audit processes and regulatory compliance will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. A background in data analysis and KPI monitoring will also be beneficial as you track performance and implement improvements.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) team at HelloFresh's Distribution Centres. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of safety and quality. You will manage a team of supervisors and technicians, guiding them in their daily operations and performance management. Your leadership will be pivotal in providing training and direction on food safety and quality issues, ensuring that all team members are equipped to handle challenges effectively.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across various departments to ensure smooth operations during weekly fulfillment and delivery processes. Monitoring and tracking KPIs will be a key part of your role, as you identify trends and areas for improvement. You will conduct root cause analyses for any non-compliances or customer complaints, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures as necessary.
Preparing for third-party audits and regulatory inspections will be a significant aspect of your responsibilities. You will act as the primary point of contact for CFIA and local regulatory inspectors, ensuring that all compliance protocols are adhered to across distribution centers and suppliers. Your strategic leadership will drive local, national, and global FSQA initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
What we offer
HelloFresh offers a competitive salary range of $87,000 to $97,000 CAD, along with a supportive work environment that values safety and quality.
