Who you are

You have extensive experience in transport management, with a strong focus on P&L ownership and strategic network design. Your background includes managing commercial relationships and optimizing transport operations to enhance service and efficiency. You are adept at using Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Yard Management Systems (YMS) to drive improvements in logistics and customer satisfaction.

You possess strong leadership skills, enabling you to manage teams effectively while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Your ability to negotiate contracts and manage carrier performance ensures that service expectations are consistently met. You are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment, understanding the importance of compliance in transport operations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take full ownership of the transport function's P&L, setting budgets and forecasts while controlling costs. You will lead the design and optimization of the transport network, ensuring efficient use of locations and routes. Your responsibilities will include managing the middle mile haulage strategy, selecting carriers, and negotiating contracts to achieve optimal performance.

You will act as the business owner for the Transport Management System (TMS), collaborating with global technical teams to implement improvements. Additionally, you will oversee final mile multidrop routes, intersite transfers, and inbound collections, ensuring that all operations are executed with a focus on cost control and excellent customer experience. Your role will also involve planning Ex Works supplier collections to ensure robust and scalable operations.
