Security Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a strong background in security engineering, particularly in detection and response, with experience in SOC monitoring and incident management. You are familiar with cloud-native SIEM platforms and have a solid understanding of security tools such as EDR and IDS/IPS. You thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to continuous learning and improvement. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can effectively triage security events and incidents. You are comfortable documenting your progress throughout the incident response lifecycle and can communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with automation and optimization of security solutions is a plus. Familiarity with threat intelligence feeds and APT campaigns will help you excel in this role. You are proactive in seeking out new tools and processes to enhance security measures and reduce dwell time.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for improving the Security Logging & Monitoring Program at HelloFresh. You will conduct SOC monitoring and build use cases to enhance security measures. Your responsibilities will include triaging security events and incidents, documenting progress throughout the incident response lifecycle, and preparing status reports for stakeholders. You will leverage both premium and open-source threat intelligence feeds to sweep environments against rising APT campaigns. Additionally, you will automate and optimize modern security solutions, including EDR/EPPs, conventional firewalls, and email security tools. You will collaborate with your team to ensure that security practices are continuously improved and aligned with business objectives.
