Overview

Hermeus is hiring a Product Manager - Autonomy to define and prioritize autonomy capabilities across various systems. You'll work closely with engineering and external partners to ensure alignment with operational needs. This role requires experience in product management within technical domains.

Who you are

You have a strong background in product management, ideally with experience in technical domains such as aerospace or defense. You understand the complexities of autonomy systems and can translate operational needs into actionable product capabilities. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams is essential, as you will partner closely with engineering, advanced development, and external stakeholders to deliver coherent and demonstrable autonomy capabilities.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate mission intent and product expectations clearly. Your analytical mindset helps you prioritize features and capabilities based on customer and program requirements. You are comfortable navigating the intersection of operational needs and system integration, ensuring that product development remains focused on delivering operational value.

What you'll do

As the Product Manager - Autonomy at Hermeus, you will own the autonomy product from a capability and outcome perspective. This includes defining capability decomposition, interface expectations, and integration sequencing. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that autonomy development aligns with mission-relevant behavior across simulation, test, and flight.

Your role will involve translating mission intent into clear autonomy product capabilities that can be developed, tested, and demonstrated. You will be responsible for roadmap evolution and ensuring that the autonomy capabilities are coherent and aligned with customer expectations. You will also engage with the Department of Defense and other partners to ensure that the product meets the national interest and maintains an asymmetric advantage.
