Hermeus is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support the procurement of precision machined parts and fabricated components. This role is crucial for ensuring on-time delivery of hardware for prototype and vehicle programs.

Job Description

Who you are

You have experience in procurement and supply chain management, particularly in the context of manufacturing or aerospace industries. Your attention to detail and proactive approach enable you to thrive in a fast-paced environment where cross-functional collaboration is essential. You are comfortable working directly with suppliers and have a strong understanding of the procurement process, especially regarding precision machined parts and fabricated components. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively liaise with various stakeholders, including engineering and production teams. Your ability to analyze and interpret data helps you make informed purchasing decisions that align with project timelines and budgets.

Desirable

Experience working with the Department of Defense or in defense contracting is a plus. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to aerospace manufacturing will set you apart. A background in engineering or technical fields can enhance your understanding of the materials and components you will be procuring.
