Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in welding engineering with experience in developing and optimizing welding processes for high-performance applications. Your expertise includes various welding techniques such as laser beam welding, gas tungsten arc welding, and gas metal arc welding — you understand the nuances of each method and how to apply them effectively in a manufacturing environment.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to interface seamlessly with design and manufacturing engineers. You are detail-oriented and committed to enforcing standardized practices and procedures across multiple welded assemblies, ensuring quality and consistency in production.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support the manufacturing and development of Hermeus vehicles, focusing on establishing and refining welding processes. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to make informed welding judgment calls and implement improvements that enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Your responsibilities will include developing, qualifying, and optimizing welding designs and processes. You will be instrumental in standing up new welding processes and ensuring they meet the rigorous standards required for high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving any welding-related issues that arise during production.
