Security Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have a strong background in application security, with a focus on modern security practices including AI/ML considerations. Your experience includes conducting security assessments using SAST, DAST, and SCA tools to identify vulnerabilities in applications. You are skilled in performing code reviews and providing secure coding guidance to development teams, ensuring that security is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.

You are familiar with GitHub Advanced Security features, including secret scanning and code scanning, and you understand how to implement these tools effectively. Your ability to collaborate with development teams allows you to foster a culture of security awareness and best practices within the organization. You are proactive in identifying potential security risks and are committed to continuous improvement in application security.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of Hims & Hers applications throughout the development lifecycle. You will conduct thorough security assessments using various tools to identify vulnerabilities and provide actionable insights to development teams. Your expertise in secure coding practices will guide developers in implementing security measures effectively.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development process, ensuring that security considerations are prioritized from the outset. Your role will involve mentoring team members on security best practices and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.

You will also be tasked with implementing and maintaining GitHub Advanced Security features, including secret scanning and code scanning, to enhance the overall security posture of the applications. Your contributions will play a crucial role in protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
