Your experience includes working with messaging systems and understanding the nuances of message delivery across different channels like Email, SMS, and WhatsApp.

You thrive in collaborative environments — you enjoy leading cross-team projects and have a knack for bringing together diverse groups to achieve common goals. Your communication skills allow you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

You are data-driven in your approach to reliability — you understand the importance of metrics and monitoring in maintaining system health and performance. You are comfortable using data to inform decisions and improve system architecture.

What you'll do

Join HubSpot's Messaging Core team and design backend services and APIs that power marketing Email, SMS, and WhatsApp functionalities. You'll be responsible for building and evolving shared infrastructure that supports multiple messaging products, ensuring they are reliable and scalable.

Lead complex, cross-team projects that span multiple services and data stores — your projects typically last 3–6 months and require coordination with various teams to ensure successful delivery. You'll take ownership of the architecture and design decisions that shape the future of messaging at HubSpot.

Work closely with product teams to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements. You'll collaborate with engineers across the organization to ensure that the messaging platform remains flexible and secure while meeting the demands of our customers.
