You have extensive experience in cybersecurity, particularly in security operations and incident response — you've triaged and investigated numerous security incidents, demonstrating your ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively. Your background includes a strong understanding of threat hunting techniques and methodologies, allowing you to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats before they escalate.
You possess excellent mentoring skills — you enjoy guiding junior team members, helping them grow their skills and confidence in the field. Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are detail-oriented and analytical, with a knack for problem-solving — you thrive on dissecting security incidents to understand their root causes and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences. Your passion for cybersecurity drives you to stay updated on the latest trends and threats in the industry.
Desirable
Experience with security tools and frameworks such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management solutions is a plus. Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) will enhance your ability to contribute to our mission.
What you'll do
As a Principal Security Operations Analyst at Huntress, you will be responsible for triaging and investigating security incidents on a daily basis — your role will involve analyzing alerts, conducting forensic investigations, and coordinating responses to security breaches. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals who share your commitment to protecting businesses from cyber threats.
You will also mentor junior analysts, providing guidance and support as they develop their skills in security operations. This includes conducting training sessions, sharing best practices, and fostering a collaborative team environment where everyone can thrive.
Your contributions will directly impact the effectiveness of our Security Operations Center (SOC) — you will help refine our processes and improve our incident response capabilities, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of cybersecurity.
What we offer
Huntress offers a fully remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. We provide a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $190,000 to $225,000, along with bonuses and equity options.
